Evi Zampeli

Evi Zampeli was born in Athens in 1991. She studied Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated in 2016. She has presented her artworks in exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She has participated in many group exhibitions and art residencies like the European program PHYSIS . She lives and works in Athens

Part of Evi Zampeli's work consists of paintings on canvas and watercolors on paper. In the specific series of works that he presents, the landscapes play the leading role; landscapes that are located in places she has travelled or lived, away from an urban center. She photographs the specific parts and transfers them to the canvas with bright colors and her own personal style. So the viewer is invited to travel to a fantastic but also familiar place.What makes Evi's work special are the bright colors and textures for which she draws ideas from patterns found in fabrics and plants.
