Zografos Vasilis
Born in Mytilini, Lesvos, Vasilis Zografos currently lives and works in Thessaloniki. He holds an MFA from the Academy of Fine Arts in Groningen, Netherlands and a Masters in Art Preservation, Conservation and Restoration from the School of Architecture and Engineering at Aristotle University, Thessaloniki. He has recently presented solo exhibitions at Helen Day Art Center Vermont U.S.A. (2019), Lola Nikolaou gallery, Thessaloniki (2018), espace_L gallery, Geneva (2018 and 2017), Eleftheria Tseliou gallery, Athens (2015), CACT–Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki (2012), Batagianni gallery, Athens (2012 and 2009) and Mirta Demare gallery, Rotterdam (2011). His work has also notably been shown in international group exhibitions at the National Museum of Contemporary Art EMST, Athens (2018), the National Museum of China, Beijing (2017), SESC Belenzinho, Sao Paulo (2017), MuCEM–Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations, Marseille (2014) as well as in the 1rst and 4th Biennale of Contemporary Art Thessaloniki (2007 and 2013). He has taught Painting and Drawing at the Ecole Régionale de Beaux Arts de St. Etienne and is now Special Teaching Staff at the School of Fine Arts at Aristotle University, Thessaloniki. He is the founding director of Vita Zita studio.
