Dimitris Koukos was born in Athens, in 1948. He studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1969-1974) and scenography with V. Vasiliadis (1972-1974). He went to Paris on a scholarship, to study for the next three years at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, with professor Gustav Sengiers. He has presented his work in many personal and group exhibitions, in Greece and abroad.
His works can be found at the Athens National Gallery, the Ministry of Culture, the Cyprus Ministry of Education, the National Bank of Greece Cultural Foundation, the Pieridis Gallery and the Vorres Museum.
